Una donna sessantenne di Orvieto \u00e8 stata vittima di una truffa online che le \u00e8 costata 19.000 euro. Nel giugno scorso, navigando su Internet, la donna ha visto una pubblicit\u00e0 di una societ\u00e0 di trading online che prometteva guadagni significativi con investimenti minimi. Intrigata dalla prospettiva di guadagni facili, ha contattato il numero telefonico indicato nella pubblicit\u00e0. Nel corso di telefonate con un presunto broker, la donna \u00e8 stata convinta a investire in criptovalute, seguendo i consigli del truffatore su dove versare i soldi. Da giugno a settembre, ha effettuato diversi versamenti per un totale di circa 19 mila euro, ma non ha mai ricevuto alcun rendimento finanziario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I sospetti sono sorti quando sia il broker che la societ\u00e0 non hanno pi\u00f9 risposto alle chiamate. La vittima si \u00e8 quindi resa conto di essere caduta in una truffa e ha denunciato l’accaduto presso il Commissariato di Polizia di Orvieto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le indagini condotte dalla Squadra Anticrimine hanno portato all’identificazione e alla denuncia del presunto truffatore, un uomo di quarant’anni residente a Treviso. L’uomo era gi\u00e0 stato denunciato in passato per reati simili. La Procura della Repubblica presso il Tribunale di Terni coordina ulteriori indagini sull’incidente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last June, while browsing the internet, the woman came across an online trading company advertisement promising substantial profits with minimal investments. Intrigued by the prospect of easy gains, she contacted the phone number provided in the ad. During phone conversations with an alleged broker, the woman was persuaded to invest in cryptocurrencies, following the scammer’s advice on where to transfer the money. From June to September, she made several payments totaling approximately 19,000 euros but never received any financial returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Suspicions arose when both the broker and the company stopped responding to calls. The victim realized she had fallen prey to a scam and reported the incident to the Orvieto Police Commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Investigations conducted by the Anti-Crime Squad led to the identification and report of the alleged fraudster, a forty-year-old man residing in Treviso. The man had previously been reported for similar offenses.
