Il pacifismo a senso unico

È passato un mese esatto da uno di quei giorni  che segneranno  per sempre la storia dell’umanità. La mattina del 7 ottobre il terrorismo islamista di stampo neonazista di Hamas ha fatto ripiombare il mondo al Medioevo e lo ha riportato alla barbarie, massacrando, trucidando, decapitando civili israeliani inermi, tanti bambini, donne, giovani e meno giovani, violentate ed assassinate, colpevoli agli occhi di queste menti malate di essere ebrei, infedeli. E tanti i rapiti e deportati nell’inferno di Gaza, come capitato ai loro nonni 80 anni prima ad Auschwitz per mano tedesca. Dopo la  commozione delle prime ore, la costernazione dei primissimi giorni, in tanti hanno cominciato a preoccuparsi della temuta “reazione israeliana” che avrebbe dovuto essere “moderata”, ”proporzionata”, ”non vendicativa”, in un fiorire di definizioni mentre gli stessi, nel frattempo, si sono dimenticati in fretta i 1.400 assassinati brutalmente e gli oltre 240 rapiti nelle mani dei terroristi. Numerose le manifestazioni di sostegno alla causa palestinese, moltissime sfociate in aperto appoggio ad Hamas, qualcuna innocentemente “pacifista” ma nelle quali, alla fin fine, il pensiero era ed è per il popolo palestinese vittima della reazione, trascurando che lo stesso è soprattutto vittima della violenza e dei soprusi di Hamas. Nessun pensiero per i coinvolti israeliani e per la popolazione di Israele costretta a fuggire costantemente nei rifugi dal lancio continuo di razzi dalla Striscia di Gaza e al nord provenienti dal Libano in mano ad Hezbollah.

In questo mese due sole le manifestazioni di sostegno ad Israele e nelle quali è emersa forte la richiesta di liberare gli ostaggi israeliani in mano ad Hamas. Le uniche voci scese in piazza per questa causa sono state quelle del quotidiano IL FOGLIO di Claudio Cerasa all’Arco di Tito a Roma e di Matteo Salvini a Milano. Per il resto il nulla ed ancora peggio, un tripudio di slogan carichi di livore contro Israele e contro gli ebrei, in una spirale di odio che può degenerare in fenomeni gravi e violenti. Dove sono la Croce Rossa, Amnesty International, l’Unicef, vista le presenza di infanti e bambini tra i rapiti a Gaza? Che cosa hanno fatto e che cosa fanno queste organizzazioni, così solerti a mobilitarsi per altre cause, per le vittime israeliane? e come si alza la loro voce in difesa degli ostaggi?
Ed intanto i pacifisti, quelli che affollano i cortei chiedendo ad Israele di smettere di dare la caccia ai terroristi, perché non organizzano cortei per chiedere ad Hamas di cessare il lancio di razzi verso le città israeliane? Un bombardamento che va avanti quotidianamente ed incessantemente da anni, soprattutto sulle città del sud di Israele, le martoriate Sderot ed Askelon. Quanta ipocrisia nell’accusare Israele di “uso della forza sproporzionato” o nella richiesta di sospendere  le ostilità.
Perché nessuno chiede al Qatar e all’Iran di chiudere i rubinetti dei finanziamenti ad Hamas, ad Erdogan di far sentire il peso del suo paese aderente alla NATO per proporre la Turchia come serio mediatore di pace e non atteggiarsi ad ultra della curva islamista schierato con i terroristi definiti “partigiani”? Dove sono le mobilitazioni  pacifiste per proporre queste richieste? Nessun essere umano dotato di sentimento ed intelletto potrà mai sostenere il partito della guerra. Definirsi “pacifisti” imporrebbe serenità d’animo ed equità, nei giudizi e nelle azioni, ma oggettivamente è palese ed evidente che per le organizzazioni che perseguono questo obiettivo, per quelle umanitarie che dovrebbero agire in favore di vittime ed ostaggi, esistono morti e rapiti di diverse categorie ed a quanto pare, i morti ed i rapiti ebrei sono di categoria inferiore e valgono meno di altri.
Questa è l’amara e cruda constatazione, questi sono i fatti.

ONE-SIDED PACIFISM

It has been exactly one month since one of those days that will forever mark the history of humanity. On the morning of October 7th, the Islamist terrorism with a neo-Nazi nature of Hamas plunged the world back into the Middle Ages and returned it to barbarism, massacring, slaughtering, and beheading unarmed Israeli civilians, many children, women, young and old, raped and murdered, guilty in the eyes of these sick minds of being Jewish, infidels. And many were kidnapped and deported to the hell of Gaza, just as their grandparents had experienced 80 years earlier in Auschwitz at the hands of the Nazis. After the initial shock of the first few hours and the dismay of the very first days, many began to worry about the dreaded “Israeli response,” which was supposed to be “moderate,” “proportional,” “non-retributive,” with various definitions, while in the meantime, they quickly forgot the 1,400 brutally murdered and the over 240 hostages taken by the terrorists. Numerous demonstrations of support for the Palestinian cause followed, many openly expressing support for Hamas, some innocently “pacifist,” but ultimately focused on the Palestinian people as victims of the Israeli reaction, neglecting that they are primarily victims of violence and abuse by Hamas. There was no thought given to the involved Israelis or to the population of Israel forced to constantly seek refuge from the ongoing rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip and from the north by Hezbollah in Lebanon.

In this month, there have been only two demonstrations of support for Israel, in which a strong demand for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas was evident. The only voices that took to the streets for this cause were those of the newspaper IL FOGLIO by Claudio Cerasa at the Arch of Titus in Rome and Matteo Salvini in Milan. For the rest, there was nothing and, worse still, a plethora of slogans full of animosity against Israel and the Jews, creating a spiral of hatred that can degenerate into serious and violent phenomena. Where are the Red Cross, Amnesty International, UNICEF, given the presence of infants and children among the hostages in Gaza? What have these organizations done and what are they doing, so prompt to mobilize for other causes, for Israeli victims? And how do they raise their voices in defense of the hostages? Meanwhile, the pacifists, those who crowd the protests, asking Israel to stop hunting terrorists, why don’t they organize marches to demand that Hamas stop launching rockets at Israeli cities? A bombardment that has been ongoing daily and incessantly for years, especially on the southern Israeli cities, the afflicted Sderot and Ashkelon. How hypocritical it is to accuse Israel of “disproportionate use of force” or to request a suspension of hostilities. Why does no one ask Qatar and Iran to turn off the funding taps for Hamas, and Erdogan to make his NATO-affiliated country assert its weight and propose Turkey as a serious peace mediator instead of acting like an ultra of the Islamist curve, aligned with the terrorists labeled as “partisans”? Where are the pacifist rallies to make these demands? No human being with feelings and intellect could ever support the party of war. To call oneself a “pacifist” would imply serenity of soul and fairness in judgments and actions, but objectively it is evident that for organizations pursuing this goal, and for humanitarian ones that should act in favor of victims and hostages, there are dead and abducted of different categories, and it seems that Jewish deaths and hostages are of a lower category and worth less than others. This is the bitter and harsh realization, these are the facts.
